일반논문 : 공간-마련과 깃들임의 사유: 하이데거 사유를 통해 본 도시 공간의 의미 = Making-room and Thinking about dwelling: The meaning of city-space in the Light of Heideggerian thinking

국문 초록 (Abstract)

독일의 철학자 하이데거는 사물들 자체가 곧 장소라고 주장하고 있다. 장소는 물체가 차지하는 공간의 일부이며 물체는 장소를 차지할 뿐 장소 자체는 될 수 없다는 아리스토텔레스 이래의 전통적 견해를 이러한 주장은 정면으로 거부하고 있다. 이 논문의 목적은 이러한 하이데거의 주장을 토대로 그의 공간 개념을 상세히 고찰하여 오늘날 도시 공간을 둘러싸고 발생하고 있는 수많은 문제들에 대하여 근원적 해결책을 모색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 우선 하이데거가 『존재와 시간』에서 제시한 공간-마련 개념을 살펴보았다. 공간-마련은 인간현존재가 정착하여 주거할 수 있는 장소를 마련하는 행위다. 미리 발견한 구역 안으로 주변에서 만나게 되는, 손안에 있음의 방식으로 존재하는 존재자를 들여보내어 그것들에게 공간을 마련해줌을 통하여 그것들과의 거리를 없애고 동시에 자기 자신을 위해서도 공간을 마련하는 것이다. 이러한 거리-없앰은 물리적 거리의 단축이 아니라 인간현존재가 영위하는 일상의 삶으로부터의 거리를 없애는 행위이며, 물리적인 거리를 통한 공간개념의 창출은 이러한 거리-없앰의 토대 위에서야 비로소 가능해진다. 그리고 이러한 거리-없앰은 이미 존재하는 어떤 구역을 통하여 하나의 방향을 취함, 즉 그때그때 인간현존재가 그 안에 존재하고 있는 세계를 함께 고려하는 방향잡음을 통하여 발생한다. 이러한 공간개념을 토대로 독일에서 주택난이 심각하던 시기에 발표된 하이데거의 유명한 논문 「짓기 깃들이기 사유하기」를 살펴봄으로써 인간이 어떤 곳에 깃들이며 산다는 것이 존재론적으로 무엇을 뜻하는가를 상세하게 분석하였다. 또 이러한 깃들임이 도시 공간에는 어떻게 적용될 수 있는가를 횔덜린의 송가 이스터에 관한 그의 강의록 『횔덜린의 송가: 이스터』이나 『형이상학 입문』, 『파르메니데스』 등에서 다뤄진 폴리스 개념을 통하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과 그 안에 살고 있는 사람들이 이웃들과 함께 존재하며 살아가는 삶의 중심인 폴리스로서의 도시 공간의 경우 물리적인 공간을 얼마나 효율적으로 확보하는가가 중요한 것이 아니라 인간이 그 안에 깃들이며 마련과 보살핌의 관계 속에서 이웃과 더불어 살아갈 수 있도록 배려하는 것이 중요함을 발견하였다. 마지막으로 이러한 도시공간개념이 구체적으로 어떤 의미를 지니는가를 알아보기 위해 일본의 한 지방법원에서 내린 노숙인 주거권 관련 판결과 그에 대한 한 일본 헌법학자의 분석을 상세하게 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 불안을 향한 용기가 마련과 보살핌을 통한 공간-마련의 출발점이며 우리와 동등한 주거의 권리와 의무를 지닌 이웃인 도시 노숙인의 주거권 회복도 이를 토대로 해서만 이루어질 수 있음이 밝혀졌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

German philosopher Martin Heideger insists on the argument that the things are at the same time the places. He thereby turns down the traditional view since Aristotle that the place is a part of the space which a body occupies and that a body can only occupy a place and can`t be the place itself. The purpose of this thesis is to search the fundamental solution for the numerous problems which occurs nowadays concerning city-space by investigating Heideggers notion of space in detail which can only be grasped on account of this concept of the place. To this purpose, the author of this thesis analysed the concept of ``Einraumen``(making {arrangement for} room) which Heidegger provided in Sein und Zeit (Being and Time). Ein-raumen is a human behavior which makes arrangement for the room in which man can settle down and dwell. The place to dwell in can be achieved through the act of Ein-raumen which can be done for beings ready-to-hand (das Zuhandene) and at the same time for human being (Dasein). For Dasein makes room for the beings ready-to-hand which can be met in the surroundings and also for himself by letting them into the region already discovered and thereby annihilating the distance between them and himself. This de-severance is not the reduction of physical distance, but of their distance from the ordinary life of Dasein. The creation of the concept of space through the aid of physical distance can be made possible only on the ground of such sort of de-severance. And this de-severance occurs when Dasein takes a direction through an already existing region. This directionality takes into account the world in which Dasein exists. Heidegger`s renowned article ``Building Dwelling Thinking`` which was published in the period of housing shortage in Germany was put into consideration in order to make clear the ontological meaning of human being`s dwelling in a certain place. In oder also to applicate such meaning to the city-space, his concept of πoλιζ was taken into account which was mentioned and minutely analysed in such books as Holderns Hymne: der Ister (Holderlin`s Hymn: The Ister), Einfuhrung in die Metaphysik (Introduction to the metaphysics), Parmenides etc. From the result of this investigation, it was discovered that the important thing is not to secure effectively the physical space, but to take care of Dasein in order that he can live with neighbors in the mutual relation of concern (Besorgen) and solicitude (Fursorge). Lastly, with a view to check the concrete meaning of the concept of city-space, we took a close look at a juridical decision of a local court of justice in Japan and at an analysis of it by a Japanese scholar of constitutional law. It was made clear through this inquiry that the starting point of making-room through concern and solicitude is the courage to anxiety and that the recovery of rights of residence in the city-space for the homeless who has the same right and duty concerning dwelling as ourselves can be achieved only on the ground of that courage.
