자해 척도(ISAS)의 한국판 타당화 연구 = Validation of Korean Version of Self-injury Inventory (ISAS)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 비자살적 자해의 기능을 측정할 수 있는 도구인 자해 척도(Inventory of Statement About Self-Injury, ISAS)를 번안하고 타당화 하는 것이다. 총 550명의 대학생과 일반인을 대상으로 자해척도(ISAS), 자해기능평가지, 자살사고척도, 한국형 성격장애 진단 검사의 경계선 성격장애 척도, 외현 불안 척도, 우울증상 척도를 실시하여, 자해경험이 있는 197명의 자료를 분석하였다. 자해기능을 측정하는 척도에 대해 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 2개의 상위기능(개인내적 기능, 사회적 기능)과 13개의 자해 기능 하위요인을 확인하였으며, 적절한 수준의 신뢰도를 보였다. 또한 타당도검증을 위해 다른 척도와의 관계를 검토해본 결과 자해척도(ISAS)는 자해기능 평가지, 자살사고척도, 한국형 성격장애 진단 검사의 경계선 성격장애 척도, 외현 불안 척도, 우울증상 척도와 높은 상관을 보였다. 이는 자해 척도가 심리측정적으로 신뢰롭고 타당하다는 것을 지지해주는 결과이며, 따라서 본 척도를 통해 자해를 하는 동기를 구체적인 수준에서 파악할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 향후, 본 척도는 자해관련 연구와 구체적인 치료적 개입을 설정하는데도 많은 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구 결과로부터 의의와 한계점에 대해 논의하였고, 가능한 후속 연구들에 대한 제안도 다루었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity of the Korean version of Inventory of Statement About Self-Injury (ISAS), a tool for measuring the function of nonsuicidal self injury (NSSI). The ISAS, the Functional Assessment of Self-Mutilation (FASM), the Suicide Ideation Scale(SIS), the Borderline Personality Disorder Scale(BPDS) of the Korean Personality Disorders Test, short form of the Bendig Manifest Anxiety Scale(BMAD) and the CES-D were carried out for 550 samples composed of college students and general public. We analyzed 197 out of 550 samples who had experience of NSSI. From the confirmatory factor analysis, we confirmed the two higher order factors (personal factor and social factor) and 13 NSSI function factors with reasonable levels of reliability. In addition, we investigated the relation with other scales in order to validate the ISAS, which shows high correlations between the FASM, the SIS, the BPDS, the CES-D, the BMAD, and the ISAS. These results proved the ISAS to be psychometrically reliable and valid, and so the ISAS enables us to identify the reasons of the NSSI at a specific level. We expect that the ISAS is helpful to establish a research on the self-injury and a specific treatment intervention. The implications and the limitations of this study were discussed and follow-up research topics were suggested.
