아날로그적 감성을 활용한 회화적 표현 연구 = A Study on Painting Expressions Using Analog Sensibility

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 2024년 1월에 전시한 석사학위 청구전 [아날로그리움]展의 작품들을 중심으로 작품의 내용과 조형적 측면을 분석한 것이다. 전시 제목인 [아날로그리움]은 ‘아날로그’와 ‘그리움’을 합성하여 만든 단어로 21세기 첨단화된 세상 속에서 우리들의 마음 한편에 남아있 는 아날로그적 감성과 그리움을 문자화했다. 나는 급변하는 변화의 흐름 속에 점점 도태되며 사라져가는 아날로그에 대한 아쉬움과 미련, 그리고 향수를 회화적 표현을 통해 사람들에게 말하 고자 한다. 이를 위해 아날로그의 사회적 의미와 역할을 조사하고 디지털 과의 상관관계에 대한 고찰을 하였다. 그리고 아날로그 노스탤지어와 더불 어 디지털 기술이 가져다준 편의성에도 불구하고 아날로그의 느림을 경험 하고자 하는 레트로, 뉴트로 현상에 관하여 서술하였다. 작업의 영역에서 나는 새로운 시대의 도래와 진행 과정에서 밀려난 것들 을 작품의 주요 소재로 삼는다. 나는 이 논문을 통해 디지털과 아날로그의 관계 지형을 고찰하고, 시대 의 흐름에 따라 소멸의 위기를 맞는 아날로그와 동일하게 디지털 역시 혁 신의 전장에서 자유로울 수만은 없음을 시사하며, 향후 전개될 작업 방향 모색의 기회로 삼고 싶다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper analyzes the contents and formative aspects of my work, focusing on my work of exhibition for master's degree [Analogrium] exhibited in January 2024. The exhibition title [Analogrium] is a word created by combining 'analog' and 'missing', and it is a literalization of the analog sensibility and longing that remains on one side of our minds in this advanced world of the 21st century. Although technological civilization is - 55 - developing and moving toward to a digital world that artificial intelligence rapidly transcends human capabilities, digital would certainly not exist without analogue. I would like to tell people about longing and nostalgia for the analog, which is gradually being eliminated and disappearing in the rapidly changing flow of society through pictorial expressions. To this end, I would like to investigate the social meaning and role of analog and consider the correlation with digital first. In addition, along with analog nostalgia, I want to determine the cause of retro and newtro phenomena that want to experience analog slowness despite the convenience brought by digital technology. I use the things that have been pushed out in the process of the arrival and progress of a new era as the main subject of my work. Through this paper, I would like to examine the relationship between digital and analog, and suggest that digital cannot be free from the battlefield of innovation, just like analog, which faces a crisis of extinction according to the trend of the times. I hope that it will be an opportunity for people to remind them of analog memories and think about disappearing through my work.
