문학치료와 외상 후 성장 과정에 관한 연구 - 2·18 대구지하철화재 유가족의 내러티브를 중심으로 = A Study on the Literary Therapy and the Post-traumatic Growth Process - Focusing on the Narratives of the February 18 Daegu Subway Fire Victims' Families

A Study on the Post-traumatic Growth Process through a Literary Therapeutic Support - Focusing on the Narratives of the February 18 Daegu Subway Fire Victims' Families - The purpose of this study is to describe which help the literary therapy becomes to people who experienced a traumatic incident, through the actual process of implementing a program. The participants in this study include 12 people who applied for the literary therapy program among the families of the victims in the Daegu Subway Fire dated on February 18. The literary therapy program was composed of totally 10 sessions with being conducted once a week by 120 minutes. The data, which were suggested in this study, are the participants' writings and narratives in the literary therapy program, and were analyzed the narratives from the perspective of PTG(post-traumatic growth) model that Tedeschi and Calhoun developed. The participants' sorrow and longing were still continued even if time passed. Sequentially, a change in view of life includes what came to feel the preciousness of the survived family members and what thinks that living healthily is happiness. However, there were even participants who were not changed yet this view of life among participants. Finally, a spiritual change was indicated to cover completing a memorial project, serving people who feel hard and have a sore heart, and enduring a difficult time with seeking own religion. This can be confirmed that social power functions as another method in PTG process. Accordingly, this study considered that an individual's not only PTG but also social growth will need to be consistently made because the participants are experiencing a difficulty as the emotion of sadness or yearning is left yet in relation to the deceased even if striving to live happily with being mostly satisfied at the current life, and because of being left a social task called the accomplishment of a memorial project relevant to the accident.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 실제로 외상 사건을 경험한 사람들이 어떠한 과정을 통해 삶의 의미와 지지를 얻게 되는지를 문학치료를 통해 탐색하였으며 연구의 참여자들은 2․18 대구지하철 화재 사망자 유가족 중에서 문학치료 프로그램에 지원한 12명이다. 문학치료프로그램은 주 1회, 120분씩 실시하여 총 10회기로 구성되었다. 본 연구에서 탐색한 내러티브들은 이들 참여자들이 실제로 문학치료 프로그램에 참여하는 과정에서 표출한 텍스트들이 주를 이루며 Tedeschi와 Calhoun의 외상 후 성장(PTG)모델을 이론적 근거로 삼았다. 본 연구가 프로그램의 과정을 통해 도출한 성과로는 이들 참여자들의 슬픔과 그리움은 시간이 흘러도 여전히 지속되고 있다는 점을 들 수 있으며 이들의 인생관적 관점의 변화에서는 참여자들이 남은 가족들의 소중함을 느끼고 있었으며 건강하게 살아가는 것이 행복이라고 생각하는 것을 인식할 수 있었다. 이러한 긍정적인 성과 외에도 참여자들 중에서는 이러한 인생관의 변화가 아직 이루어지지 않은 참여자도 있었다. 끝으로 영적 변화의 관점에서는 추모사업을 완결하는 것, 어렵고 마음 아픈 사람들에게 봉사하기, 자신의 종교를 찾아 힘든 시간을 견뎌내기로 나타났다. 이는 사회적인 힘이 외상 후 성장 과정에 또 하나의 방식으로 작용한다는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 참여자들은 대체로 현재 삶에 만족하고 행복하게 살고자 노력하지만 여전히 고인과 관련하여 슬픔이나 그리움의 감정은 남아있어 어려움을 경험하고 있고 사고와 관련한 추모사업의 완결이라는 사회적인 과제가 남아있어 개인의 외상 후 성장뿐만 아니라 사회적으로도 성장이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 보았다.
