      In order to estimate the offshore wind resource around Jeju island, the wind data from automatic weather system of meteorological observatories were analyzed statistically. The 4 small islands around Jeju island were selected for this study, whose names are Udo, Marado, Jigwido and Chujado, respectively. The wind data at 70m above ground level were extrapolated from the wind data measured at 10m above ground level, and the average wind speed, the average wind power density and the wind rose were clarified for the small islands. The results show that the sea around the Marado and the Udo cites may be the best place to construct an offshore wind farm, because they have high wind speeds and their prevailing wind directions are identified obviously.
