부산지역 기계산업의 기업네트워크 분석과 클러스터화 전략

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1) 부산지역 기계·금속기업의 네트워크와 클러스터화 전략 :
이 논문은 부산의 산업적 성쇠과정과 기계·금속산업의 네트워크를 분석하고, 부산 기계·금속 산업클러스터 개발의 전략과 성장가능성을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 산업네트워크론, 클러스터론 등 관련 이론들은 검토하고 이를 종합하여 클러스터에 대한 새로운 모형화를 시도하였다. 우리는 클러스터의 본질을 산업 네트워크의 공간적 집적체로 파악하고 클러스터를 구성하는 네트워크를 분류하고 체계화하였다.
그리고 이 모형을 부산지역에서 실증적으로 검증하고 정책대안을 모색하기 위해 부산지역 기계금속산업 관련 각종 통계를 종합하여 분석하였다. 더하여 이 분야의 기업들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 바, 설문의 주요 내용은 기업들의 전후방 연계에 관한 것과 인적 연계에 관한 것, 학습 및 혁신경로에 관한 것 등이었으며 이를 지역적 차원에서 집중적으로 고찰하였다. 정책적 대안은 이러한 분석을 토대로 부산지역의 기계금속산업 클러스터 구축 및 고도화 방안을 제시하는 데에 중점을 두었다.


2) 동남권 중소기업의 거래네트워크와 기술혁신 - 신지역주의의 비판적 검토 :
참여정부의 국가균형발전정책 추진을 배경으로 지역산업정책에 대한 국내 논의가 활성화되었는데, 학계에서는 내생적 지역발전전략, 혁신클러스터 조성전략을 옹호하는 신지역주의적 접근과 이에 대한 비판적 입장이 대립되고 있다. 이 논문은 지역산업정책을 둘러싼 학계의 논란과 관련하여 신지역주의적 접근을 비판적으로 독해하고 내생적 발전전략이 지역정책으로서 현실 적합성을 갖는지 여부를 실증분석을 통해 검토한다. 이를 위해 기술신용보증기금에서 제공하는 2003년도 부산·울산·경남지역 기계부품소재산업 2,678개 중소기업 DB를 이용하여 네트워크가 기술혁신에 미치는 영향을 계량모형을 통해 분석하였다.
실증결과 지역내부의 역량에 의존하는 내생적 발전전략을 중시하는 신지역주의의 주장과 달리 지역내 국지적 네트워크보다는 글로벌 네트워크에 의존하는 기업이 혁신적인 것으로 나타났다. 또 산업집적이 기술혁신에 미치는 영향에 관해서는 초지역적 대기업이 주도하는 산업집적지는 혁신을 촉진하지만, 소기업 위주의 산업집적지는 혁신에 기여하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그밖에 특정 모기업에 의존하는 중소기업보다는 거래선을 다변화한 중소기업의 기술혁신이 활발한 것으로 나타났다.
이와 같은 결과로부터 전통 중공업부문 선도-연계기업형 산업지구로서의 특징을 갖는 동남권 지역에서는 유연전문화체제를 개념화한 신지역주의의 내생적 성장모델보다는 협조적 거래의 장점과 함께 최근 네트워크형 개방거래를 확대하고 있는 일본의 대-중소기업 협력모델이 현실적인 대안이라는 시사점을 얻고 있다.

3) 기업의 재무적 및 비재무적 특성이 주거래은행관계 형성에 미치는 영향 - 동남경제권 부품소재산업을 중심으로 :
이 글의 목적은 동남경제권의 부품소재생산기업의 비재무적 및 재무적지표가 주거래은행관계 형성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 있다. 분석결과 지역의 소규모금융기관은 지역소기업의 금융제약을 완화해주는데 기여한다는 관계적 대출이론이나 지역금융시장이론의 가설을 뒷받침해줄만한 결과를 얻을 수 없었다. 비재무적 요인이 주거래은행관계 형성에 미치는 영향에

1) Network and Clustering Strategies of the Machine and Metalworking Industries in Busan Region :

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the networks of the machine and metalworking industries in Busan Region and to develope the clustering strategies of the industries.
This study tried to examine the three type networks of the firms. Based on a survey of the machine and metalworking firms, this study considers geography and strength of the linkage and cooperation among the firms.
From these, it is proposed that we need to promote clustering of the machine and metalworking industries in Busan region through attracting the technological leading firms.


2) External Linkages and Technological Innovation of Small and Medium-sized Firms in the Korean South-East Region
:
This study tried to examine external linkages and technological innovation of small and medium-sized firms in the Korean south-east region. Based on a sample of 2,678 small and medium-sized manufacturing firms, this study considers geography and strength of the innovation-related cooperation as the determining factors of technological innovation.
Empirical result shows that innovative small firms are significantly more likely to be export oriented and globally networked, which suggest greater external focus. It also shows that a firm located in hub-spoke type industrial cluster is considerably more likely to innovate, and less likely to innovate in the Marshallian type industrial cluster.
From these, it appears that it is not desirable to build Marshallian type industrial cluster and neo-Schumpeterian endogenous regional growth strategy as a regional policy. Instead, empirical result suggests the importance of Japanese inter-firm dynamics, attitude and expectations in facilitating successful collaboration between large firms and their suppliers.


3) The effects of financial and non-financial factors on the formation of main bank relations of parts and material industry in Busan-Kyungnam region :

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the effects of a firm's financial and non-financial factors on the relationship formation with its main bank in the industry of parts and material in Busan-Kyungnam region. The results, out of accordance with the relation-banking or regional financial market perspective, do not support the hypothesis that regional financial institutions would be useful for decreasing the financial difficulties of the small and medium firms in the region. The analyses about the effects of non-financial factors on the formation of main bank relations show that while Kookmin Bank and Industrial Bank play important roles as main banks of small businesses other national banks put emphasis on the transaction lending. And the analyses about the effects of financial factors show that firms having main bank relations with non-bank financial institutions and Kookmin bank are more profitable and stable than firms having main bank relati
