      Fireproofing polyethylene composite with an excellent mechanical and electrical properties were prepared by compounding LLDPE, EVA, CPE, decabromodiphenyl oxide, Sb2O3, and carbon black using internal mixer. The maximum tensile strength and elongation at break for the compounds containing 75 phr EVA were 1.670 kgf/mm2 and 778%, and for the compounds containing 30 phr CPE were 1.73 kgf/mm2 and 812%. But flame retardancy properties, combustion time and combustion distance for the compound containing 40 phr DBDPO and 8 phr Sb2O3 were 0~2 sec and 5.5~15 mm.
