This study explores the concept of retro tourism through the lens of tourism experiences, using a phenomenological analysis of 24 individuals who visited retro-themed destinations. The findings reveal that retro tourism experiences encompass five multidimensional aspects. Nostalgia reflects the desire to reconnect with the recent past in a relaxed setting, offering respite from rapid societal changes. Fun arises from intentionally stepping outside contemporary norms to relive childhood innocence and share memories. Analog highlights a preference for human-centered, inefficient yet authentic experiences, driven by fatigue from digitalization. Aesthetics captures an appreciation for the raw emotions and cultural beauty of past eras. Reconstruction involves blending historical elements with modern tastes and technologies to create a renewed identity that appeals across generations. These insights offer valuable academic and practical implications for tourism research and industry development.
