성도 간에 상호 멘토링이 성도의 삶에 미치는 영향 : 교회 내부 관계를 중심으로 = A study on the influence of mutual Christian mentoring on the lives of Christians: Focused on the internal relationships within the church

People consider interpersonal relationship as being very important. They are interested about which types of people they meet as well as the benefits the relationships will bring for them. The relationship between Christians in church is even more important. As Christians need to play the role of light and salt in f the world, they must not live selfish lives but lead on a life where they provide mutual optimistic influence and grow together. Mentoring relationships can glorify God and develop the lives of Christians, who bring him more joy, in a more effective manner.
The purpose of this study was to identify the importance of mutual mentoring relationship between Christians, which is the internal relationship within the church, as well as explore how much Christians recognize the need of mentoring relationship. Moreover, data analysis was conducted through surveys in order to explore the mentoring relationships between Christians and identify what individuals can gain for their spiritual and daily lives through the mentoring relationships as well as how they cause influence on others. Additionally, identification was made on whether the influence is either a positive or negative aspect. Moreover, insufficient aspects of mentoring relationships amongst Christians were searched and the necessary aspects were identified to promote effective mentoring relationship in order for the lives of Christians to be more pleasing to God's sight.
This study helps Christians distinguish the forms and methods of mentoring following the situations and relationships and also realize the need and importance of mentoring. Additionally, mentoring, which is a relationship where one person provides the resources given by God to another person, can also be found in the relationship between Jesus and figures who appeared in the bible and scripture verses related to mentoring can be found.
Survey questionnaire was used as the study tool and 100 participants were targeted for the survey. The collected data was used to get statistics and conduct analysis to enabled Christians to identify the current situations of the mentoring and also discover areas to supplement weak areas. Moreover, the mentoring relationship between Christians caused on the lives of Christians can be recognized, and the aspect which is displayed highly is the part related to religious life. It is because there is high interest about the very basic religious responsibilities of Christians. Also, this aspect can be applied to discover the positive changes in the lives of Christians.
In conclusion, the facts that are most strongly emphasized in this study are regarding how important the mentoring relationship is in the lives of Christians as well as the fact that Jesus is the subject who establishes the mentoring relationship wholly. When it comes to interpersonal relationships, we wish to become outstanding mentors who can cause positive influence on the lives of the mentees. In order to do so, we need to search for Jesus, the best model as a mentor. Furthermore, we must depend on God instead of trying to become a supportive mentor out of our own will. Help comes from God, and he fills in for my weak areas. God is the subject who leads them so that they can support the mentoring relationship toward the appropriate direction. Christians must prioritize living like Jesus, being with Jesus, and following Jesus and always be aware that these are obligations that Christians should observe properly.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

사람은 대인관계에 대하여 매우 중요하게 여긴다. 어떤 사람을 만나며 그 관계가 자신에게 어떤 유익함을 가져다주는지에 관심이 있다. 기도하며 말씀과 함께하는 교회 내에서의 성도 간에 관계는 더욱 중요하다. 세상의 빛과 소금의 역할이 되어야 할 성도는 자신만을 위한 이기적인 삶이 아니라 서로에게 긍정적인 영향을 주면서 함께 성장해나가는 삶이 되어야 한다. 멘토링 관계는 하나님께 영광 돌리며 그분을 즐겁게 해드리는 성도의 삶을 더욱 효과적으로 성장시킬 수 있는 것이다.
본 연구의 목적은 교회 내적 관계인 성도 간에 상호 멘토링 관계가 얼마나 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있으며 성도가 멘토링 관계의 필요성을 느끼는지에 있다. 또한 멘토링의 관계 속에서 신앙생활과 일상생활에까지 어떤 것을 자신이 얻게 되고, 자신은 상대방에게 어떤 것을 영향 끼치게 되는지 설문을 통한 자료 분석으로 성도 간에 멘토링 관계를 살펴봄으로써 그 영향이 긍정적인 부분인지 부정적인 부분인지를 알아낸다. 그리고 성도 간에 멘토링 관계에서 미흡한 부분을 찾아내고, 필요한 부분이 무엇인지 알아내어 성도의 삶이 하나님이 보시기에 더욱 좋은 모습이 되도록 효과적인 멘토링 관계의 진전을 도모한다.
멘토링에 대한 이해를 다루면서 상황과 관계에 따라 멘토링이 어떤 형태와 방법으로 진행되는지를 알게 되고, 멘토링의 필요성에 대해서 깨닫게 된다. 또한 한 사람이 하나님께서 주신 자원을 다른 사람에게 나누어 주는 관계인 멘토링이 성경에 나타난 예수님과 인물 간에 관계에서도 발견할 수 있고, 멘토링과 관련된 구절을 찾을 수 있다.
설문지를 연구 도구로 활용하여 100명에게 조사를 했다. 수집한 자료를 가지고 통계 내고 분석을 하여 성도가 현재 멘토링의 상황을 파악하고, 미흡한 부분에 대해 보완할 부분을 발견하게 된다. 또한 성도 간에 멘토링 관계가 성도의 삶에 미치는 영향을 알 수 있는데, 높게 나타난 부분이 신앙생활과 관련된 부분이다. 성도의 가장 기본적인 신앙생활 부분에 대해 관심이 높다는 것이다. 그리고 이 부분을 통해 성도의 삶이 긍정적인 모습으로 변화됨을 찾아낼 수 있다.
본 연구에서 꼭 말하고 싶은 것은 멘토링은 하나님께 영광 돌리며 그분을 즐겁게 해드리는 성도의 삶을 효과적으로 더욱 성장시킬 수 있는 방법으로써 성도 간에 멘토링 관계가 성도의 삶에 중요하고 필요하다는 것과 이 멘토링 관계를 완전하게 성립시켜 주시는 분은 예수님이시라는 것이다.
우리는 대인관계에 있어서 좋은 멘토가 되기를 바라고, 긍정적인 영향력 있는 멘토가 되기를 바란다. 이에 대한 답은 최고의 멘토 모델인 예수님으로부터 찾아야 한다. 그리고 좋은 멘토가 되려 할 때 자신의 의지만으로 해결하려는 것이 아니라 하나님께 의지해야 한다. 하나님으로부터 도움이 오고 내게 부족한 면을 채워주신다. 멘토링 관계를 올바르게 진전될 수 있도록 이끌어 가시는 분이 하나님이시다. 예수님처럼, 예수님과 함께, 예수님을 따라가는 것이 성도의 삶에 최우선순위에 있으며 마땅히 해야 할 책무인 것임을 잊지 말아야 한다.
