People consider interpersonal relationship as being very important. They are interested about which types of people they meet as well as the benefits the relationships will bring for them. The relationship between Christians in church is even more important. As Christians need to play the role of light and salt in f the world, they must not live selfish lives but lead on a life where they provide mutual optimistic influence and grow together. Mentoring relationships can glorify God and develop the lives of Christians, who bring him more joy, in a more effective manner.
The purpose of this study was to identify the importance of mutual mentoring relationship between Christians, which is the internal relationship within the church, as well as explore how much Christians recognize the need of mentoring relationship. Moreover, data analysis was conducted through surveys in order to explore the mentoring relationships between Christians and identify what individuals can gain for their spiritual and daily lives through the mentoring relationships as well as how they cause influence on others. Additionally, identification was made on whether the influence is either a positive or negative aspect. Moreover, insufficient aspects of mentoring relationships amongst Christians were searched and the necessary aspects were identified to promote effective mentoring relationship in order for the lives of Christians to be more pleasing to God's sight.
This study helps Christians distinguish the forms and methods of mentoring following the situations and relationships and also realize the need and importance of mentoring. Additionally, mentoring, which is a relationship where one person provides the resources given by God to another person, can also be found in the relationship between Jesus and figures who appeared in the bible and scripture verses related to mentoring can be found.
Survey questionnaire was used as the study tool and 100 participants were targeted for the survey. The collected data was used to get statistics and conduct analysis to enabled Christians to identify the current situations of the mentoring and also discover areas to supplement weak areas. Moreover, the mentoring relationship between Christians caused on the lives of Christians can be recognized, and the aspect which is displayed highly is the part related to religious life. It is because there is high interest about the very basic religious responsibilities of Christians. Also, this aspect can be applied to discover the positive changes in the lives of Christians.
In conclusion, the facts that are most strongly emphasized in this study are regarding how important the mentoring relationship is in the lives of Christians as well as the fact that Jesus is the subject who establishes the mentoring relationship wholly. When it comes to interpersonal relationships, we wish to become outstanding mentors who can cause positive influence on the lives of the mentees. In order to do so, we need to search for Jesus, the best model as a mentor. Furthermore, we must depend on God instead of trying to become a supportive mentor out of our own will. Help comes from God, and he fills in for my weak areas. God is the subject who leads them so that they can support the mentoring relationship toward the appropriate direction. Christians must prioritize living like Jesus, being with Jesus, and following Jesus and always be aware that these are obligations that Christians should observe properly.
