THE case of Dumont v. Kellogg, 29 Mich. 420, involves the question of the reasonable use of a stream by different riparian proprietors. Dumont owned land above Kellogg, upon a small stream, and constructed a dam which, it was claimed by Kellogg, caused the water to evaporate and be absorbed in the ground, so as to very materially decrease the flow of water through his premises.
