근거기반 실제에 대한 언어재활사의 태도, 정보 이용, 방해 요인 인식에 관한 연구 = Attitudes, Utilization, and Barriers regarding Evidence-Based Practice among Speech-Language Pathologists in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

배경 및 목적: 이 연구에서는 근거기반 실제를 언어치료 현장에 적용하기 위한 기초 작업으로서 근거기반 실제에 대한 언어재활사들의 태도, 정보 이용, 방해 요인에 대한 인식을 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법: 전국의 언어치료 기관에서 근무하는 234명의 언어재활사를 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 응답자의 배경 변인과 읽은 논문 수 및 학술 활동 등의 변인에 따라 태도, 정보 이용, 방해 요인 인식에 차이가 있는지 살펴보기 위해 독립 t-test, one-way ANOVA, 단계별 다중선형 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 근거기반 실제에 대한 언어재활사들의 태도는 대체로 긍정적이었고, 임상실습 기간 중 근거기반 및 연구 노출 정도가 태도에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 언어재활사들은 임상적 판단 시 연구결과보다는 자신의 임상경험을 더 많이 이용하고 있었으며, 대학원과 학부 기간 동안 근거기반 및 연구에 노출 정도, 임상경력, 자격급수가 정보 이용에 영향을 주고 있었다. 또한 EBP를 실시하는 데 방해요인이 많다고 느끼지 않았으며, 근거기반 실제에 참여할 충분한 연구의 양과 질의 부족을 상대적으로 큰 방해 요인으로 인식하고 있었다. 논의 및 결론: 근거기반 실제에 대하여 긍정적인 태도를 보이나, 임상 판단 시 연구결과보다는 자신의 임상경험과 같은 정보를 더 많이 이용하였으며, 근거기반 실제를 적용하는 데 있어 크게 방해 요인을 인식하고 있지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives: Evidence-based practice (EBP) is a process of making decisions about how to give speech and language services to people with communication disorders. As a basic study of EBP for speech-language pathologists (SLP), this study was aimed at examining SLPs' attitudes toward EBP, information about use in clinical decision-making, and perceived barriers to EBP. Methods: A total of 234 speech language pathologists responded to a questionnaire exploring EBP. T-test, one-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: Positive attitudes toward EBP were reported. Attitudes were correlated with exposure to research and EBP practice during undergraduate and graduate training and clinical fellowship years (CFY). Clinical experience was used to guide decision-making more frequently than research studies. Exposure to research and EBP during the CFY, clinical experience, job satisfaction, and certification class predicted the use of evidence-based resources. Respondents did not report high potential barriers to using EBP. But a lack of quantity and quality of studies was perceived as a relative barrier to EBP. Conclusion: While positive attitudes toward EBP were reported, clinical experience was used to guide decision making more frequently than research studies. A lack of quantity and quality of research was perceived as a relative barrier to EBP.
