Problems on Overwintering of Japanese Encephalitis Virus : 1. Serologic Survey of Japanese Enecphalitis Virus Infection in Bats and Birds Ⅰ. 腦炎바이러스에 對한 박쥐類와 鳥類와 血淸學的 調査硏究 = 腦炎바이러스의 越冬問題

국문 초록 (Abstract)

著者는 自然界에서 韓國의 박쥐類 및 移住性鳥類와 腦炎바이러스의 感染과의 關係를 究明하기 위하여 수락산과 議政府에서 1969年8-9月에 採集한 촉새(Emberiza spodocephala pallas)79首의 血淸을 非動化,acetone 處理,거의 血球吸收處理를 한 後 腦炎바이러스에 對한 血淸檢査를 未血球疑集沮止法(HI test)에 衣하여 실시하였던 바 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다.
1.박쥐(Vespertilio superans Tuomas)102首中 議政府에서 採集한 48首에서 2首의 血淸이 低 HI 抗體價(1:10)를 保有하고 있었고 수탁산의 박쥐 64首는 全部 陰性이었다.
2.한강변에서 採集한 鳥類(Emberiza spodocephala pallas)79首의 血淸은 全部 HI 抗體價陰性이였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present report is concerned with the occurrence of hemagglutination inhibiting antibodies to Japanese encephalitis virus (Nakayama strain) in bats and birds.Bats were captured during August to September and birds in October near Seoul.Blood samples of bats and birds were obtained from the jugular vein.
The results obtained are summarized as follows:
(1) Two of 102 serum samples from bats (Vespertilio superans Thomas) captured near Seoul had a low (1:10) HI antibody titer each.
(2) None of HI antibodies was found in 79 serum samples from birds (Emberiza spodocehala pallas).Further studies are suggested to evaluate the significance of these low-titer antibodies.
