청소년 다중피해 발생 양상에 관한 성별 비교 연구: 네트워크 분석을 통한 맥락중심적 접근 = A Gender Comparison of the Occurrence of Polyvictimization among Adolescents: A Context-Centered Approach Using a Network Anlaysis

This study aims to investigate the occurrence pattern and context of adolescents’ polyvictimization by gender. Thus, the network analysis was applied to visualize the polyvictimization, and estimated the core victimization type by calculating centrality, which is associated with the occurrence and chronicity of polyvictimization. Cross-sectional data were obtained from the National Survey on Juvenile Victimization in 2014 (N=7,109) conducted by Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice. Main results are as follows; First, network analysis detected 5 communities (‘polyvictimization’, ‘emotional and property victimization’, ‘physical and property victimization’, ‘sexual victimization’, and ‘witness and indirect victimization’) in the male group, and 4 communities (‘polyvictimization’, emotional and cyber victimization’, ‘physical and property victimization’, and ‘witness and indirect victimization’) in the female group. Second, child maltreatment was clustered in the ‘polyvictimiztion’, which included the most diverse sub-types in both gender. Third, group assault by peers was found to have the highest centrality and most influential sub-types of polyvictimization in both gender. Based on the results, the needs for expanding the school social work system and strengthening child protection system were suggested to prevent polyvictimization.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 성별에 따라 청소년이 경험하는 다중피해의 실질적 발생 양상과 그 맥락을 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 네트워크 분석 방법론을 적용하여 다중피해 네트워크를 시각화하고, 중심성 지표 분석을 통해 다중피해의 발생 및 만성화에 핵심이 되는 피해 유형을 규명하여 사회복지적 개입의 단초를 제공하고자 한다. 그리하여 2014년 한국형사․법무정책연구원에서 2014년 진행한 ‘청소년 대상 범죄피해조사’에서 청소년 7,109명(남자 청소년 3,347명, 여자 3,762명)을 대상으로 수집한 횡단데이터를 활용하여 다중피해 하위 21개 세부 유형을 중심으로 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 네트워크 분석 결과 남자청소년의 피해 커뮤니티는 5개(‘다중피해’, ‘정서 및 재산피해’, 신체 및 재산피해‘, 성피해’, 목격 및 간접피해‘), 여자청소년은 4개(’다중피해‘, ’정서 및 사이버 피해‘, ’신체 및 재산피해‘, 목격 및 간접피해’)로 구분되었다. 둘째, 남녀 모두 가장 다양한 유형이 포함된 ‘다중피해’ 커뮤니티에는 아동학대가 포함된 공통점을 보인 반면, 성피해 발생 양상은 이질적이었다. 셋째, 또래에 의한 집단 폭행은 남녀 모두에게서 가장 높은 중심성을 보여 다중피해 예방을 위한 핵심 유형으로 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 청소년 다중피해 예방을 위한 학교사회복지제도 확대 및 기능 강화, 아동학대 예방 및 성피해 예방을 위한 정책 개입 방안을 제언하였다.
