The impressionistic music which had flourished in France, as a center of music from the end of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth, began as a leading genre in the twentieth century music. The impressionism formed by Claude Achille Debussy, as a founder in France, also influenced the music of Maurice Ravel and Paul Dukas. Particularly, Ravel was a composer who built his unique world in music based on the characteristic of impressionism. In this research, Ravel composed the piano works on the basis of the techniques of impressionism and classicism. And, the music opened a new world to pianists. In the main subject of this research, I could find out the classicism and pianism through the analysis of <Le Tombeau de Couperin>. In the <Le Tombeau de Couperin> being applied by the characteristic of dance music popular in the 18 century, the new classicism`s trend of ornament, imitation counterpoint, a baroque-rhythm pattern, a church mode, and etc. were well-described. Also, there were the Exposition, the Development, the Recapitulation, the Coda, and etc. used in a classical sonata, the formal point of view. And I looked into the classical characteristics of the regular structure of musical phrases and etc. in it. With the performances by the delicate use of a fingering and a pedaling could be the center of performances interpretation and ``divisi fingering`` for an effective performance. Through this article, I tried to find out the forming of unique composing technique whenever Ravel connected the classicism`s form to his music style during impressionism period. In addition, I dealt in a musical expression technique like “divisi Fingering”, pedaling, and dynamic and hope to be a tip for the performers who would want to perform Ravel`s <Le Tombeau de Couperin>.
