범죄예방디자인과 커뮤니티 디자인의 연관성 도출 = A Study on association of Crime Prevention Through Environment Design and Community Design

As type of crime have become more various and occur more frequently than before, the method of crime prevention is considered more importantly. In the efforts of the crime prevention and relieving anxiety about crimes or establishing a system, Korea is adopting a solution like Crime Prevention Through Environment Design (CPTED). However, CPTED has been proven to be unsustainable by many cases of developed countries, so we need a social alternative with consideration of Korean regional characteristics for a fundamental solution. Therefore, this research attempts to provide an implication for the crime prevention by understanding the correlation between the revitalization of a community and the current state of regional crimes. This research seeks to find a theoretical correlation between the two by analyzing the preceding research of the revitalization of a community and the design of crime prevention, and based on this, this research tries to analysis trend of studies of two concepts. First, establishing the concept of CPTED and Community Design and drawing there is a connection between two concept by searching the changed trend of them. Second, analyzing trend of research that contains change of social trend. Third, synthesizing the trend of two concept and research and draw a conclusion of their relation. This study shows that we need to focus on interaction of two concept to make successful crime prevention and community vitalization. Not only physical solution is the best conclusion but also social, and psychological portions should be cared, and more suitable policy to support them is needed.
