강원권 철광석 철도물류 프로세스 개선 방안 = The Improvements on the Railway Logistics Process of Iron Ore in Gangwon Area

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The logistics cost of iron ore accounts for the largest part of the total product price. Thus business competitiveness depends on the efficiency of logistics process. Railroad is considered a representative echo-friendly mode comparing to road transport but there are drawbacks like a lot of transshipments and civil complaints in the process of bulk cargo transportation. This paper suggests the introduction of hopper-type container for the improvement of railroad logistics process. We proposed the logistics process map of iron ore by interview and field survey. We analyzed the changes of logistics process in accordance with the adoption of hopper-type container. And we verified the feasibility about adopting hopper-type containers through the quantitative & qualitative analysis.
