The main objective of this study is to improve efficiency of heat pump system on battery electric vehicle under low temperature. In general, the operating temperature of automobile heat pump is lower than that of housewares. For this reason, it is necessary that high efficient heat pump system should be developed in other approach for EV. Because refrigerant of R134a has high specific volume at low temperature, flow rate of refrigerant is reduced in a system. In order to resolve this problem, the vapor injection technologies are recommended in heat pump system. In this study, the primary components of heat pump system have been developed to organize the vapor injection heat pump system. The compressor power consumption was measured and the analysis of the heating performance & COP was conducted.
