유아의 음절 처리 과정에 대한 지배음운론적 접근 = A Government Phonology Approach to the Syllable Processing of Korean Infants.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper deals with the syllable processing of infants within the framework of Government Phonology. Based on Kim`s (2009) data showing representation of each consonant in the final position of syllable, it is found that lateral sound [l] is restricted in that position. These phenomena are explained by the licensing constraint of elements before domain final empty nucleus. And based on the data with phonological process of syllable units, they show many examples of syllable deletion. It means that Korean infants are more likely to acquire syllable structure of Korean as an open syllable(CV). Furthermore, in utterances of more than two-syllables, some examples show representation of consecutive consonants(CVCCV) in surface forms. However, an internal empty nucleus exists between consecutive consonants(CVCØCV). These phenomena are explained by licensing of a domain internal empty nucleus when an inter-onset government is established.
