      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      This study faced the reality that the budget related to culture and arts education is gradually shrinking, identified the actual situation from the perspective of schools and educational mediators who are experiencing real damage and confusion in school culture and arts education, and suggested several issues for revitalizing school dance education, focusing on dance education mediators among the various problems revealed. Based on the 2nd Comprehensive Plan for Culture and Arts Education and the 2022 revised curriculum, dance education in schools consists of integrated subjects or part of expression activities within physical education subjects, and has not been implemented as a formal art subject.
      Dance education mediators who implement this also have problems such as ambiguous positions and roles of external instructors with expertise, non-professionalism of physical education teachers who do not major in dance, and difficulties in educational progress. To establish and revitalize dance education mediators with these problems, first, re-securing the budget to revitalize culture and arts education, second, strengthening the professional development of mediators and creating an integrated network, third, implementing the mandatory placement of culture and arts teachers, forming mediators for first-class qualifications, and fourth, creating and realizing demands for high school career and convergence elective courses were derived as suggestions.
