The notion of “Curriculum Ideology and Politics” has provided higher requirement to foreign langu age education in China. The current Korean language education in many universities still adheres to a traditional pedagogical model, which focuses on vocabulary, sentence, grammar and expression, reinforced by repetition, imitation, recitation and critical-thinking training. Such an approach, however, fails to reflect the distinctive characteristics of Korean language pedagogy. Therefore, Korean language education calls for persistent and profound reform, advocating for improvement and readjustment from global vision. In implementing the guiding outline for ideological and political construction of college curriculum, the study focuses on the current challenges in Korean language eduction on the basis of the Korean Major in universities in Jinlin Province. Under the view of “Curriculm Ideology and Politics”, it analyzes innovative, content-oriented pedagogical strategies, aiming to foster a versatile teaching framework under Chinese culture system, and independent from those western systems. With breakthrough in the disciplinary boundaries in different academic systems, the study tends to construct an independent education system with Chinese characteristics to enhance unconsciously students’ competences with the ideology-driven and value-guided education system. This paper aims to create a multi-dimensional ideological and political theory that applies to all courses in order to fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating moral character and nurturing talents, and to cultivate capable users and confident communicators, allowing more Korean language learners with a sense of patriotism to speak up for and bring glory to the nation.
