IT was a pleasing contrast to London when I crossed over on August 1. Seagulls flew across the skies of Dublin instead of aeroplanes, and the Wicklow mountains are a more restful sight at the end of a street than a balloon barrage-- less useful? Oh, perhaps, but we are in Ireland.
