This study uses data from the 24th Korean Labor and Income Panel Survey(KLIPS), an annual survey conducted by the Korea Labor Institute. We analyzed the impact of trade labor unions on organizational commitment by focusing on incumbents at work. For the panel data analysis, SPSS and Process macros were used to analyze mediated, moderated, and controlled mediated effects. This result are as follows. First, organizational commitment was positively related to labor union, life satisfaction and job suitability. Second, in the mediation effect analysis we found that life satisfaction has a significant effect on the relationship between labor union and organizational commitment. Third, job suitability had a moderating effect on the relationship between life satisfaction and organizational commitment. Fourth, job suitability moderated the effect of labor union on organizational commitment through mediating life satisfaction. As the level of job suitability increased the effect of life satisfaction on organizational commitment increased. Labor and management shall provide employees of the enterprise with opportunities for advancement through development in a mutually beneficial strategy. Businesses need a strategy for steady growth.
