The purpose of this study was to identify the facts related to death and dying and the life sustaining treatment experienced by adults in the community. The questionnaire asked subjects encompassing whether they experienced family member`s death and dying and/or life sustaining treatment for them Analysis sample included 154 cases. Of 154 experienced family members` death and dying, 68(44.2%) witnessed life-sustaining treatment. Most respondents in the study reported that deceased ones were died at home and had become stuporous and dependent at the end of life. Cancer was the main cause of death and relative to the other diseases(p=.005) and dying old was unlikely related to life sustaining treatment. However, the likelihood of life sustaining treatment was not related to chronological age.
