The purpose of this study is to find the countermeasures of late forest damage on tea plant in Jeongeup, northern limit of cultivation of tea plant.
During the latest 3-year, In 2007, higher compared with other years, the late forest damages in tea field are not founded. In 2008, lower than usual, the late forest damages appeared.
Foliar application of Eco-friendly materials, Da joa, Pyroligneous liquor , Super-bio and installing wind-screening mesh showed the
late frost damage reduction by 3.6~5% compare to 7% in non-treatment.
In foliar application of Eco-friendly materials, There are difference in late forest damage.
In foliar application of Da joa, growth is superior by far the best, in the order of Super bio, Pyroligneous liquor. Commonly thicken mesophyll, darken leaf color, and harden leaves decrease the late forest damage.
Making a new tea field in Jeongeup tea culture complex , late forest damage was reduced by trial of organic fertilizer 2,000kg per 10a and by cultivation methods.
Considering the result of this study, reduction of late forest damage on tea plant in Jeongeup needs to go side by side using Eco-friendly materials and cultivation methods.
