This study attempts to analyze actual condition and psychology of students attending training schools for educare teachers in order to provide basic information needed for improving questionnaire on actual condition and a personality diagnosis test, which were surveyed to 315 students attending the Educare Teachers' Training School, Seoil Junior College.
Major findings of this study are summarized as follows :
About 32% of the respondents have occupations. Generally, they are satisfied with the training program, but want to extend the training period. Most want to work at a day care center after graduation.
Results of the personality test show that most students are psychologically stable. but some students reveal a status of a grave concern. Individual counseling and guidance programs should be made and implemented for these students.
This study is a part of a series of studies, which have been done annually since 1993 and will be continued for some more years to collect comprehensive and systematic information on these students. Thus, cumulative results of these studies are expected to be used as scientific data for developing education and counseling programs of training schools for educare teachers.
