The purpose of this study is to seek an alternative solution to increase the middle-age women’ psychological well-being by proving mediated effect between middle-age women’ social service actives and life satisfaction, depression. In order to achieve the research purpose of this study, the research problems were set as follow.

Second, does the community service activities of middle-aged women affect the life satisfaction?
Third, does the community service activities of middle-aged women affect the depression?

There was a preliminary survey from February 1st through 3rd 2016 for 3 days and the main survey from February 5th through 14th for 15 days which deployed 700 survey questionnaires and analyzed 614 surveys questionnaires that were aimed for middle-aged women, aged between 40~64, who participate in community service in social welfare facilities in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Incheon.
The statistical analysis was performed using the PASW (SPSS) Ver. (22.0) program which conducted validity, reliability analysis, and descriptive statistics analysis. T-test and ANOVA was performed to investigate the differences between variables, correlation analysis was performed between key variables, regression analysis was performed to investigate effects between variables, and multiple regression analysis was conducted to verify the mediated effects.
The results are as follows.
First, the characteristics of the community service activities of middle-aged women had an impact on the psychological well-being. This analysis is thought to be the reflection of pride and accomplishment of middle-aged women through community service activities. Therefore, it is necessary to build community service social network for middle-aged women in local community by building and managing systematic education and human infrastructure.
Second, community service activities factor had an impact on life satisfaction. Physical, family, and interpersonal factors seem to have static effect on life satisfaction. This analysis matches with Kwon (2012)’s research analysis, when if one consider their life is satisfying and ordinary life’s emotional experience is more positive than negative, then life satisfaction is also positive.
Third, community service factor had an impact on depression. The analysis shows reduce in depression when physical, family and interpersonal factors become positive. These results match with Kong (2004), Lee (2001), Kim (2006)’s research, if physical, family, and interpersonal factors are well controlled, then they tend to reduce depression.
Fourth, the parameters, life satisfaction and depression, had mediating effects between the characteristics of middle-aged women’ community service activities and psychological well-being.
As the parameters, the life satisfaction and depression, have a mediating effects between middle-aged women’ community service activity and psychological well-being, it is important to come up with ways to increase the life satisfaction and decrease the life depression. In order for middle-aged women’ community service activities to be more active, policy initiatives and program development is required.
