      국문 초록 (Abstract)

      본 연구에서는 1990년부터 2010년까지 20년간 네팔에서 이루어진 TEVT 정책의 효과들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. TEVT는 본 연구에서 매우 중요하다. 그 이유는 네팔의 사회경제적 그리고 정치적 발달 과정에 참여하고자 하는 젊은 세대들을 준비시키고, 또한 세계 경제의 참여할 수 있는 방안 모색에 도움을 줄 수 있기 때문이다.
      이 연구의 목적은 학자, 전문가, 정책 분석가 그리고 TEVT 참여자들의 TEVT 정책의 긍정적인 측면과 그 정책의 적용에 관련된 여러 가지 의제에 대한 견해를 논의함으로써, 관련 이해를 증진시킬 수 있도록 하는데 있다.
      본 연구에서는 다양한 자료 수집을 위하여 문헌고찰을 포함하여 인터뷰와 설문지를 실시하였다. 그 결과 TEVT 정책에 대한 이해, 질, 관련성, 평등, 평가와 관련된 관련 정책의 효과, 세계화의 도전과 취업 기회의 책임에 대한 국가의 자세 등을 알아볼 수 있었다. 또한 현재까지 네팔에서 이루어진 TEVT 관련 연구들이 미비한 실정임을 알 수 있었다.

      본 연구에서는 1990년부터 2010년까지 20년간 네팔에서 이루어진 TEVT 정책의 효과들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. TEVT는 본 연구에서 매우 중요하다. 그 이유는 네팔의 사회경제적 그리고 정치적 발달 과정에 참여하고자 하는 젊은 세대들을 준비시키고, 또한 세계 경제의 참여할 수 있는 방안 모색에 도움을 줄 수 있기 때문이다.
      이 연구의 목적은 학자, 전문가, 정책 분석가 그리고 TEVT 참여자들의 TEVT 정책의 긍정적인 측면과 그 정책의 적용에 관련된 여러 가지 의제에 대한 견해를 논의함으로써, 관련 이해를 증진시킬 수 있도록 하는데 있다.

      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      It is widely recognized that poverty reduction measures must reinforced by access to TEVT opportunities which increase employability and prospects for the poor. TEVT increasingly have been recognized as vital keys that unlock the doors to both economic wealth and social well-being. The reality with respect to Nepal, most of the students who leave school after completing or failing certain grade or level was either exposed to the world of work or join TEVT institutions that were run by or affiliated with the CTEVT.
      This study examined the impact of TEVT policy on employment promotion and practice in Nepal during a 20-year period from 1990-2010. TEVT was the principal focus of this research as it is critical to preparing young people to participate in Nepal’s socio-economic and political development process and thus position the country for participation in the global economy. The purpose of this study was to arm academician, professionals, policy analysts and TEVT practitioners to understand and improve the TEVT policies affecting Nepal’s institutions and employment.
      The research mainly used questionnaire, interview, and literature review for collecting data from the multiple sources. The findings of the research explored stakeholders’ perceptions and understandings of TEVT policy; the impact of TEVT policy on beneficiaries in terms of access, equity, relevance, and quality; and positioning the country to respond to the employment opportunities and challenges of globalization.
      The study concluded that TEVT is still in an embryonic form in Nepal. It is too early to predict when current provisions of TEVT policy will impact on the employment and economy. Nepal’s experience in implementing these programs has some lessons for other countries considering similar changes in TEVT policy and practice.
