    다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

    Korea celadon is a well-known form of pottery due not only to its elaborate and magnificent form, decoration, and colored glaze, but also to its beautiful color. In the Daegu-myun area, Kangjin-gun, Chonnam, there are 159 Celadon kiln sites that have been excavated and investigated out of the 400 sites in Korea. The earliest, refinement, peak, and proliferation stages are equally represented among the kiln sites of this region.
    The aim of this study is to look into the process of color changes and the distribution of jade green color among these kiln sites, and to set up a standardized system of terms for the color of celadon.
    The method of this study was to measure the H-V-C by using a chroma-meter and Munsell book of color and to categorize the period and the kiln sites.
    The results of the analysis are the following;
    1) From the earliest stage, we measured 104 pieces of celadon from the sites named Yongwoon #9 and #63. The color of glaze was grayish-yellow and yellow-brown.
    2) From the refinement stage, we measured 29 pieces of celadon from the sites named Kaeyul #7, #8 and #9. The color of glaze was dark grayish-yellow.
    3) Form the peak stage, we measured 87 pieces of celadon from the sites named Sadang #7 and #27. The color of glaze was grayish yellow-green.
    4) From the proliferation stage, we measured 80 piedes of celadon from the sites named Sadang #10 and #13. The color glaze was grayish-yellow.
    Munsell marks 2.5G 6.5/4.0 that we have been used to classify the color of Celadon should be changed into the marks among 7.0∼9.0GY, V4.0∼5.0 and C0.7∼1.0 based upon of the results of this study.
    $quot;Chung$quot;is a word from old Korean which means $quot;greenish$quot;. But today this word means definitely blue. Therefore if we name the color of celadon grayish-blue or dark grayish-blue, its color wouldn't be agreeable with the lineage of green of celadon at all. Md if we inspect the colors of celadon only visually, it could cause errors in color classification. Thus, we should be accurate in naming color through the scientific measure instrument.
