This thesis is research that analyzes and organizes the work of myself that has been carried out from 2010 to present. The body of dissertation concerns with the background thoughts and critical characteristics of each period separately.
The first chapter of thesis, monologue painting, looks into two distinct types of paintings during this period. Perspective view of emotion as the first subject addresses the process of visualizing emotional conflicts caused by anxiety on the screen. Following subject, a person who becomes a canvas refers to the process of construction that led to the shape of a person's figure and the meaning of object-painting to myself.
The second chapter is about layer paintings: it deals with the example of works to describe the background of increased interest for layers and the digital era as well as the process of applying the recognition of layers on canvas. The first subject illustrates shaped-ruler drawing that builds up the screen with layered lines. The second subject states about digital paintings to see the process of making images on digital circumstance and representing these digital images on canvas. The third one is about playlist paintings, and it introduces the series of paintings based on the created list related to daily life and constructed with found images associated with the list.
The third chapter discusses the background of resuming man shaped object-paintings and the series of critical works. Smile Figure series implies the abstract process of cumulating and the progression of a series of works. The series of the angel as the following subject shows how this series of work has derived from Smile Figure series and developed.
The thesis investigates the flow of transition of previous works and the critical characteristics, to analyze new aspects of recent works and to seek the direction of upcoming works.
