《鶯鶯傳》과《西廂記》比較硏究

A literary work that its characteristics of a work was evaluated as an excellent work of a life history in Dang Dynasty is《Aeng Aeng Life》of Jin Won, since it includes all excellent literary values among works of the life history in the Dang Dynasty.
《Aeng Aeng Life》is a work about love between Aeng Aeng and Saeng Zhang, and a heroine, Aeng Aeng is a very beautiful and slender maiden and has talent and arts ability.
Psychological pain of Aeng Aeng who is deserted by Saeng Zhang, sacrifices and endures all things under suppression of feudal teaching about courtesy makes readers feel sympathy and response, so this novel is widely read by people.
Afterwards, Aeng Aeng Choi has been continuously noticed by poets, novelists and playwriters in history, and her love story continuously appeared in literary works of various genres.
Ancient history was formed in a life history novel of《Aeng Aeng Life》 in the Dang Dynasty, various song types prevailed at the age was used in Song Dynasty and a work of large size called as《Seo Sang Gi》of Shil Bo Wang was formed along with prevalence of various dramas in Song Dynasty after passing through Gum Dynasty.
The present paper studied characteristics of works like the life history novel and the various dramas through comparative research between《Aeng Aeng Life》that is a masterpiece of love-style life history novels and has been received love from Chinese people and《Seo Sang Gi》of typical various dramas in the Song Dynasty developed from the ancient history of Aeng Aeng, and it was analyzed that work patterns were generated by receiving what influence from 《Aeng Aeng Life》to《Seo Sang Gi》and there was what change in aspects of man shape and motif consciousness according to change of a work type.
There was change in only a type as well as contents from《Aeng Aeng Life》to《Seo Sang Gi》, so conclusion structure was changed from a tragedy to a comedy as the end. It can be said that this is changed by varied mind of people according to the times background.
As behavior of Saeng Zhang was criticized and Aeng Aeng deserted got sympathy from people according to the change of the times, the end was recreated as a conclusion that love between them was realized at last.
According to the change of the contents, comparatively much change was brought even in character shape. Shil Bo Wang created more personal and characteristic character shape through conflict between characters.
《Seo Sang Gi》recreated flat character shape in《Aeng Aeng Life》to be more characteristic and lively characters, so it could be one factor to make it a masterpiece capable of representing the times. It could be known that an idea of a writer was penetrated into characters and expressed in the work while analyzing character shape comparatively.
The writer of《Aeng Aeng Life》, Jin Won had strong fame mind and the idea of feudal teaching about courtesy, and the writer of 《Seo Sang Gi》, Shil Bo Wang had a free loveism idea that removes the unethical feudal teaching about courtesy and seeks free love and marriage, so their motif mind was directly reflected to the two works.
Also, it was compared about how marriage culture of women and social treatment to women were in the Dang and Song Dynasties through Aeng Aeng, a heroine of the work.
Although it was not easy to view woman shape of the total times with one work, rough marriage and mind views was found by referring to background or customs, etc. of the times Chinese culture and idea of the times was understood by reading the works hard through this comparative study.
