정명론(正名論)의 역설

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 정명론(正名論)의 ‘-다움’을 활용하여 진정성, 순수성을 강요하는 억압적 행위를 ‘정명론의 역설’이라 이름하고 이에 대한 반론을 제기하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 현재 우리 사회는 피해자, 특히 성범죄 피해자에게 ‘피해자다움’을 강요하는 등, 기계적인 명실상부를 추구하는 듯한 모습을 적지 않게 볼 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 명실상부는 오히려 공감과 연대를 불가능하게 만든다는 점에서 ‘정명론의 역설’이라고 할 수 있다. ‘피해자다움’은 맥락과 상황에 따라 규정되어야 하기 때문에 정명론 또한 맥락과 상황에 맞는 명칭과 실상의 부합으로 해석될 여지가 있다. 이 논문은 이러한 맥락 및 상황에 따른 명실상부의 가능성을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 진정한 피해자다움이란 무엇인가라는 억압을 넘어 연대와 공감을 위한 정명론은 어떠한 형태일지를 드러내고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to argue against the oppressive behavior of using Zhengming's ‘-like’ to enforce authenticity and purity, which we call the ‘Paradox of Zhengming’. Currently, our society seems to be pursuing a mechanical match name and reality, forcing victims, especially victims of sexual crimes, to be victim-like. However, this is a paradox of Zhengming in that it makes empathy and solidarity impossible. Since ‘victim-like’ must be defined according to context and situation, there is room for Zhengming's theory to be interpreted as a contextualized match name and reality. This paper explores the possibility of such a match name and reality according to the context and situation, and through this, it aims to reveal what a Zhengming theory for solidarity and empathy might look like beyond the oppression of what true victim-like is.
