한국 프로야구의 지역연고제와 정치적 지역주의의 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리 나라 프로야구의 지역연고제와 정치적 지역주의의 관계를 규명하는 데 목적이 있으며 지역주의적 정치성향이 강한 부산·광주·대전의 3개 광역시에 거주하는 20세 이상의 남녀 770명을 대상으로 프로야구 관중과 비관중의 투표행태와 지역주의적 정치성향을 비교분석하였다. 지역주의적 투표행태는 제15대 국회의원 선거의 투표참여여부, 지지후보의 소속정당, 거부감이 있는 정당 등을 분석하였으며, 지역주의적 정치성향은 한국인의 정치문화 중 분파주의, 공동체성 저항성 등을 분석하였다.
본 연구에서 나타난 결과를 보면, 첫째, 프로야구 관중을 비관중에 비해 투표참여정도가 유의하게 높았으며, 둘째, 프로야구 관정운 투표행태에서 지역주의적 성향이 보다 높은 경향이 있는 반면, 셋째, 지역주의적 정치성향은 프로야구 관중이 보다 낮은 경향이 있었다. 전체적으로 볼 때, 본 연구에서는 프로야구의 지역연고제와 정치적 지역주의의 의미있는 관계를 대한 경험적 증거가 불충분하다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between franchise of professional baseball and pohtical regionalism in Korea For the purpose the differences of voting attendence, favorable/unfavorable party, and pohtical regionalism factors such as dividism, collectivism, and resistency were analyzed between spectators and non-spectators The subjects of this study included 770 male and female citizens from
3 different areas and were admimisterd the questionnaires for themselves The statistical methods to analyze collected data were crosstabulation with Chi=square and oneway ANOVA
The major findinges in this study were summarized as followings
First, there was significant difference of voting attenence between spectators and non-spectators. the ratio of voting attendence of spectators was significantly higher than that of non-spectators
Second, the spectators tended to be higher level of political reginoalism factors such as favorable and unfavorable party, but there were no statistical significances
Third, the spectators tended to be lower level of political reginoalism factors such as dividism, community, and resistency, but there were no statistical significances
Within its limitations this study reached to conclusion that there were no empirical evidences to verify the significant relationship between the franchise of baseball and pohtical regionalism
