슈베르트 아르페지오네 악곡 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

슈베르트(Franz peter Shcubert, 1797-1828)는 18세기 말의 비엔나 고전주의 음악에서 19세기 초기의 낭만주의 음악을 열고 이끈 대표적인 작곡가로 우리에게 가곡의 왕으로 잘 알려져 있다. 고전주의 시대에 슈베르트는 형식미 위에 중시되었던 낭만적인 음악적 특징을 잘 표현하였다. 이 논문에서 다룬 ‘아르페지오네 소나타 a단조(Arpeggione Sonata in a minor D.821)’는 특히 고전 소나타의 형식을 매우 잘 지킨 작품이다. 아르페지오네 소나타는 고전주의 소나타 형식을 잘 지킨 작품으로 총 3악장으로 이루어져 있다. 특히 제 1악장은 전형적인 고전주의 소나타의 형식을 매우 잘 지킨 악장이다. 제 2악장은 변주곡 형식이고 제 3악장은 론도형식으로 이루어져 있다.
아르페지오네 소나타는 지금은 사용하지 않는 고(故)악기인 아르페지오네를 위한 유일한 독주곡이다. 아르페지오네는 바이올린과 기타 제작자인 슈타이퍼(G. Staufer, 1778-1853)에 의해 만들어진 6현의 악기이다. 기타의 소리를 현으로 내고자하는 의도로 만든 악기로 기타의 특징이 악기몸통과 프렛으로 나타난 것이 특징이다. 초기엔 첼로와 유사하게 연주하는 기타라는 의미의 기타 비올론첼로(Guita Violoncello), 또 다르게는 활로 연주하는 기타라는 의미로 보겐 기타(Bogen Guitar)라고 불렀다. 아르페지오네라고 불리는 이유는 이 악기가 아르페지오 주법을 잘 표현할 수 있기 때문이다.
아르페지오네 소나타는 이 악기의 유일한 전문 연주자로 알려진 빈센트 슈스터(Vincent Schuster, 1778-1853)가 슈베르트에게 요청하며 만들어진 곡이다. 이 곡은 슈베르트와 그의 친구들 모임인 슈베르티아데(슈베르트의 밤)에서 초연하였고 대중에게도 인정받았다. 하지만 아르페지오네는 슈스터가 교본을 만들어 대중화에 힘썼음에도 불구하고 악기 보급화에 성공하지는 못하였다. 6현을 활로 연주하는 구조 때문에 여러 음이 동시에 나기 쉬워 화음을 내기엔 유리했지만 기술적으로 다루기가 어려웠으며 엔드핀이 없어서 무릎에 놓고 연주하는 자세가 불편하여 결국 10년만에 잊혀지게 되었다. 오늘날 아르페지오네 소나타는 연주법이 알려지지 않은 아르페지오네 대신에 음역대가 비슷한 첼로로 많이 연주되고 있으며 요즘에는 비올라의 음색이 어울려서 비올라로 많이 연주하고 있다.
본 논문에서는 고전주의 소나타 형식으로 이루어진 슈베르트 특유의 서정적 선율이 잘 나타난 아르페지오네 소나타를 아르페지오네가 아닌 비올라로 연주하는 방법에 대해 분석하였다. 이 곡이 쓰여진 시대적 배경과 슈베르트의 생애를 알아보며 슈베르트의 음악적 개성이 이 소나타에 어떠한 방식으로 표현되었는가를 알 수 있었으며 이 논문이 향후 비올라 연주자들이 아르페지오네 소나타를 연주함에 있어서 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 한다.

F. Shcubert (1797-1825) was a leading composer who opened and led the early 19th century Romantic music in the late 18th century Vienna classical music, and is well known to us as the king of songwriting. Schubert expressed the characteristics of romantic music well on the formal beauty that was emphasized in the classical period. In this article ‘Sonata (arpeggione sonata in a minor d. 821) forged a areupejione’ about is especially classical sonata form very well the previous day's work. The Arpegione Sonata is a work that preserves the classical sonata format and consists of a total of three movements. In particular, the first movement is a typical classical sonata movement when they keep the type of very well. The second movement variations of type and the third movement is composed of a rondo form.
The Arpegione Sonata is the only solo song for the late instrument, Arpegione, which is not used now. The violin makers and other, syutaipeo areupejione (g 1778 - 1853, staufer) made by the six current musical instrument. It is an instrument made with the intention of making the sound of the guitar into strings, and the characteristics of the guitar are shown by the body and the frame of the instrument. In the early days, it was called "Guita Violoncello", which means a guitar playing similar to a cello, or "Bogen Guitar", which means a guitar playing with a bow. The reason it is called arpeggione is because it can express the arpeggio method well.
The Arpegione Sonata is a song made by Vincent Schuster, known as the instrument's only professional performer, at Schubert's request. The song was by Schubert and syubereutiade, a group of friends (Schubert's night.) and aloof from the general public as well recognized. However, Arpegione did not succeed in popularizing musical instruments despite Schuster's efforts to create a textbook and popularize it. Due to the structure of playing six strings with a bow, it was easy to make several notes at the same time, but it was technically difficult to handle, and the posture of playing on the knee was inconvenient because there was no end pin, so it was forgotten in 10 years. Today, the Arpegione Sonata is often played on a cello with a similar range instead of the unknown Arpegione, and these days, the viola's tone matches and is played a lot as a viola.
In this paper, we analyzed how to play the arpeggione sonata in viola rather than arpeggione, which shows Schubert's unique lyrical melody in the form of a classical sonata. Looking at the background of the time when the song was written and Schubert's life, I could see how Schubert's musical personality was expressed in this sonata, and I hope this paper will help the viola players play the Arpegione sonata in the future.
