중년 상담사의 학문적 여정과 자기성찰 : 인문융합치료학 박사과정을 중심으로 = The Academic Journey and Self-Reflection of a Middle-Aged Counselor: Focusing on the Ph.D. Program in Humanities Convergence Therapy

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중년 상담사의 학문적 여정과 인문융합치료학과 박사과정에서의 자기성찰을 통한 상담사로서의 연구자 되기를 조명한 자문화기술지이다. 연구자는 주부에서상담사로의 학습 성찰을 바탕으로, 상담사에서 연구자로 전환되는 과정에서의 심화된자기성찰을 탐구하였다. 본 연구는 “중년 상담사가 박사과정을 통해 상담사에서 연구자로 전환하는 과정은 어떤 의미를 지니는가?”라는 연구 문제를 중심으로, 중년 상담사의 전환 과정을 이해하고 이를 통해 중년기 학습자의 학문적 도전과 성장의 의미를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 연구의 자료는 박사과정에서의 성찰일지를 중심으로 전환적 학습 경험과 자기성찰 과정을 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 세 가지 상위범주와 여섯 가지 하위범주로 구성되었다. 상위범주는 ‘평범한 주부에서 상담사로’, ‘상담사에서 연구자로’, ‘상담사로서의 연구자의 길’. 하위범주는 삶에 던져진 질문과 자기인식, 상담사 되기와내 앞의 타자, 방황 끝에 만난 자기수용적 성찰, 타자 지향적 학문과 연구자 수행, 자기돌봄과 타자돌봄의 윤리적 실천, 그리고 실존적 존재로서의 질적연구자이다. 본 연구는 중년기 여성 학습자의 학문적 경험과 성장 과정을 깊이 이해하는 데 기여하며, 이들의 학문적 도전이 사회적 기여로 이어질 수 있음을 시사한다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is an autoethnography that explores the academic journey of a middle-aged counselor and the process of becoming a counselor-researcher through self-reflection in the Ph.D. program in Humanities Convergence Therapy. The researcher based on reflections on learning from the journey of transitioning from a housewife to a counselor and explored the deepened self-reflection during the process of transitioning from a counselor to a researcher. This study focuses on the research question: “What meaning does the process of transitioning from a counselor to a researcher through the Ph.D.
program hold for middle-aged counselors?” By understanding this transition, the study aims to explore the academic challenges and growth experienced by middle-aged learners. The data for this study were primarily collected from reflection diaries during the Ph.D. program, focusing on analyzing transformative learning experiences and the process of self-reflection. The results of the research were organized into three main categories and six subcategories. Three main categories are: “From an ordinary housewife to a counselor,” “From a counselor to a researcher,” and “The path of a researcher as a counselor.” The subcategories include: questions thrown toward life and self-awareness, becoming a counselor and engaging with others, reflective self-acceptance after wandering, human-centered scholarly practice and conducting research, ethical practice of self-care and care for others, and qualitative researcher as an existential being. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the academic experiences and growth processes of middle-aged women learners, and it suggests that their academic challenges can lead to meaningful social contributions.
