대학생 진로결정수준과 진로준비행동의 관계에서 진로소명의 매개효과 = Mediating Effect of Career Calling on the Relationship between Career Decision Level and Career Preparation Behavior of College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among career decision level, career calling, and career preparation behavior. The present study thus examined the impact of career calling on the relationship between career decision level and career preparation behavior of Korean college students.
Methods For this aim, 283 Korean college students participated in this study and their career decision levels, career calling, and career preparation behavior were measured. Uni-variate, bivariate, and hierarchical multivariate analysis were conducted. Baron and Kenny(1986)’s mediation test procedure and Sobel test were used to analyze the data.
Results As results, there was a significant and positive relationship between career decision level, career calling and career preparation behavior. This means higher career decision level would be able to lead higher levels of career preparation behavior and career calling. In addition, when demographic variables, age, gender, grade, major field were controlled, we found the mediational effect of career calling on the relationship between career decision level and career preparation behavior.
Conclusions We offered implications that to lead the higher levels of career preparation behavior of college students, it would be important to focus on increasing their levels of career calling.
