Clinical review and analyses of all patients with pvogenic octeomyelitis were made in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Chung Nam National University during the period of March 1968 to December 1964.
Some of the results obtained in these studies are summarized as follow
1) The disease is increasing gradually in its incidence in puberty and in its morbidity every yeai
2) The highest incidence was found among 10 to 20 year-old patients
3) The most commonly affected sites were femur, tibia and hummerus in that order.
4) Coagulase(+)Staphylococcus was the most infecting organism present in 68.8% of all case
5) The sex distribution was 109 males, or 71.3% and 45females, or 28.7% in ratio of 2 1
6) In this series of cases, 91.3% of staphylococcus aureus was found to be resistant to penicillin
