The Ghost in the Shell에 나타난 인간지능과 인공지능 = Human Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence in The Ghost in the Shell

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The artificial, which were recognized as ‘object’ by the human subject during the period of humanism, have the recognition for ‘Otherness’ in the age of artificial intelligence and posthumanism due to the convergence of the artificial and the humanistic. The artificial(cyborg and AI) in The Ghost in the Shell develop the humanistic perspective with Ghost and Body. Cyborg Kusanagi has the body-perception generated by cyber-body itself, and network artificial intelligence Puppet Master insists that he has a humanlike ghost generated from the network. This paper discusses ‘the theory of transhumanism and posthumanism’ and ‘the existing methods of human and posthuman’, and then casts light on how humans establish the relations with android, cyborg, and AI which are crossing over the boundaries between the human and the machine. This paper finds the vision for the era of posthumanism harmonizing the human and the machine and accesses the possibility for collaborative creativity beyond augmented humanity.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인공지능과 포스트휴먼의 시대에 이르러, 인간 주체에 가려져 타자로 취급받지 못했던 인공적인 것에게 ‘대상’이 아닌 ‘타자성’에 대한 인식이 발현되기 시작한다. <공각기동대>에 나타난 인공적인 것(사이보그와 인공지능)은 인간적인 것을 추구한다. <공각기동대>에서 인간을 인간이게 하는 조건은 몸과 고스트이다. 쿠사나기는 자율사물 너머 지각적 지향성을 가진 몸으로써 인간에 한 발 더 다가가고, 인형사는 고스트로서 스스로를 생명체라고 주장한다. 이 논문은 휴머니즘, 트랜스휴머니즘, 포스트휴머니즘의 논의와 함께 휴먼과 포스트휴먼의 존재방식에 대한 논의 이후, 인간과 새로운 생명체(안드로이드, 사이보그)가 어떻게 관계 맺을 것 인가에 대한 것에 집중된다. 인간 대 기계의 경계를 가로질러 무엇이든 될 수 있는 자유와 변화를 내포한 포스트휴머니즘적 관점에서, 이 논문은 인간증강 너머 인간과 도구의 협력적 창의성을 타진한다.
