Dr. Dvorak was to have appeared at the concert on May 26th, but he had to excuse himself, so the directors altered the programme, affording the subscribers the opportunity of again hearing the fine Orchestral Suite in F, written by Moszkowski for the Society in 1886, and now conducted by the composer. The work is an ambitious and brilliant one, symphonic in its dimensions and scope, if not in the sequence and balance of its movements.
