대안적 Q, 죄지은 여인, 그리고 인자 = Alternative Q, the Sinful Woman, and the Son of Man

국문 초록 (Abstract)

시간 제약으로 인해 이 논문에서는 공관복음 문제에 대해 저의 해결책인 Q+/파피아스 가설을 소개하고 잃어버린 복음서를 복원하기 위한 기준들을 간단히 소개하는데 그쳤습니다. 이 기준들을 적용하여 어떻게 죄인인 여인을 용서하신 예수의 이야기를 복원에 포함시키게 되었는지도 보여드렸습니다. 이 결과만으로도 역사적 예수 연구, 신약성서의 여성신학적 접근과 누가복음해석을 위해 의미하는 바가 크다 하겠습니다. 또한 신약성서 해석의 난제들을 풀어가는데 있어 제가 복원한 본문이 가지는 중차대한 가치를 하나의 예를 통해 말씀드렸습니다. 인자 칭호의 기원에 관한 것이 그것입니다. 이 두 가지 예는 극히 일부분에 해당합니다.
당부의 말씀으로 강연을 맺을까 합니다. 최근 몇몇의 출판물들은 두 자료 가설에 근거한 Q의 복원을 확정적이고 최종적인 것으로 간주합니다. 『Q 비평판』(Critical Edition of Q)제목 자체가 잃어버린 복음서의 복원의 최종적인 완성을 이뤘다는 인상을 줍니다. 저는 마태, 마가, 누가복음과 대조를 위해 복원된 Q를 포함하고 있는 두 권의 사복음서 대조도 알고 있습니다. 이러한 시도는 비록 좋은 의도라 하더라도 영구히 비확정적일 수 밖에 없는 한 텍스트를 객관화 한다는 점에서 복음서 이해에 오히려 방해가 될 수 있습니다. 저의 복원이 잃어버린 복음서의 본문에 더 근접하다고 확신하지만 제가 무오류한 원본 그대로를 복원했다는 환상 따위는 없습니다. 다만 지난 30여년의 저의 노력이 우리의 이해에 긍정적인 기여를 했으면 하는 바램은 가져봅니다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper, due to the constraints of time, could do little more than introduce my Q+/Papias Solution to the Synoptic Problem, and briefly propose alternative criteria for reconstructing the lost Gospel. I provided one example how the application of these criteria allows for the inclusion of the story of Jesus forgiving a sinful woman. This result alone is important for the study of the historical Jesus, feminist interpretations of the New Testament, and the exegesis of the Gospel of Luke. I also provided a ground-breaking example of the value of my textual reconstruction for solving difficult problems in the history of New Testament intepretation. The case I offered was the origin of the title Son of Man. These two examples merely scratch the surface.
Let me conclude with a word of caution. Several recent publication have treated reconstructions of Q based on the Two-Document Hypothesis as definitive and final. The very title of The Critical Edition of Q gives the impression that now at last we have the last word on the reconstruction of the lost Gospel. Futhermore, I am aware of two new Gosepel synopsis that include that reconstruction of Q in a column for comparision with columns of the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke. This development, while well-intended, is a disservice to our understanding of the Gospels insofar as it objectifies a text that must forever remain elusive. although I am convinced that my reconstruction closer resembles the text of the lost Gospel, I am under no illusion that I have reconstructed the original completely or free of errors. Surely wer are nowhere done with the quest for the origins of the Gospel tradition; I can only hope that my efforts for the last three decades contribute positively to our understanding.
