At present, the world very much interested in K-POP and K-BEAUTY is showing initiative in trying Korean makeup, hair-dos, fashion, food, and even culture which have been all experienced on K-DRAMA shows and with K-POP singers. In consequence, foreigners with high relevant expectations have been volunteering to experience Korean traditional customs, and that had been what eventually encouraged the conductor of this study who is also working as a makeup artist to discuss, in pursuit of global communication, art makeup focusing on Korean traditionality. While numerous previous studies have already talked about makeups as dealing with traditional materials, their discussions were only limited to these topics such as 'folk paintings and dancheong patterns', and that is what proves how seldomly art makeup studies mainly on oriental paintings have been carried out. It is believed to be a good material to be used not only when oriental paintings' traditionality needs to be re-discovered but also when makeup needs to be expressed as art makeup with some artistry of contemporary vibes added. In the end, that will help Korean culture to be introduced to the world even more conveniently.
It is now considered that neo-pop with popularity featured in itself has been affecting the young generation over the world since it started getting involved not only in beauty but also in cultural lives. Since oriental paintings the Korean traditional art began to be distinguished for the neo-pop property, neo-pop oriental artists have been lifting up their heads. Based on that, this study, first, conducts theoretical speculation referring to literature and other existing research articles on contemporary oriental paintings, neo-pop, and art makeup. Second, the study sorts out neo-pop design patterns that would be observed in contemporary oriental paintings Third, the study designs illustrations by re-separating features in terms of the design patterns. Fourth, as looking into the neo-pop specified expressions of contemporary oriental paintings, the study uses art makeup to reinterpret the traditionality of oriental paintings and the contemporary creativity of neo-pop which would, in the end, help this study to become a more free-hearted communication tool both for the beauty culture development and the Korean culture.

What has been shared above led the study to these following results.
First, while contemplating existing researches on contemporary oriental paintings and neo-pop, the study found the whole process quite intriguing in that it discovered how traditional painting factors and pop factors would come along with these public factors such as anonymity and popular nature.
Second, regarding the work which had utilized the contemporary oriental paintings' neo-pop images, the study learned how makeup factors would possibly expand creation only infinitely in terms of oriental painting-like materials, neo-pop-like materials, simplified presentation, symbolical presentation, playful presentation, and popular presentation. In addition, the study realized how art makeup work would replace these artistic factors such as drawings and photographs.
Third, as the work which would utilize the contemporary oriental paintings' neo-pop images, it will be a good chance for people from other cultural backgrounds who have been growing with different cultures and sentiments to feel even closer with greater interest.
Fourth, as the contemporary oriental neo-pop images are used for work, cultural contents that would contain creative and emotional meanings will be developed, and on top of that, it will encourage people of all ages to participate in fashion shows, makeup shows, beauty competitions, and others which would eventually bring about cultural contents design development and the global introduction of Korean makeup.
This study anticipates not only how meanings of Korean traditional paintings and the neo-pop images should be used for art makeup presentation which would, in the end, improve the status of Korean makeup but also how the reinterpretation of traditional culture should be another beginning for the art makeup field. The study also expects itself to be a new opportunity for Korean traditional culture to become a new global culture.
