유관도식을 활용한 중심반응훈련이 자폐성장애 아동의 복합단서에 대한 반응성에 미치는 효과 = The Effect of Pivotal Response Training Using Contingency Maps on the Response to Multiple Cues of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of pivotal response training (PRT) using a contingency maps on the response to multiple cues of two children with autism spectrum disorder. PRT using contingency maps is in accord with a characteristic of visual information processing of an individual with ASD. The participants were a six and a three-year-old boy with ASD. The study applied a multiple baseline design across behaviors and changing conditions design simultaneously, which was composed of baseline, intervention, generalization phase. And generalization data was measured through activities between the child and his parent at the intervention place. The independent variable was PRT using contingency maps, and the dependent variables were ‘discriminating objects with multi-dimensional cues (size, color, number, or shape)’ and ‘following multi-step directions.’ Data were collected using an event recording system. The study results are as follows. The PRT using contingency maps resulted in high effect on acquisition and generalization of ‘discriminating objects with multi-dimensional cues’ and ‘following multi-step directions.’ These findings suggests that PRT using contingency maps is an effective intervention for enhancing response to multiple cues for children with autism spectrum disorders.
