Korean <Hodong & Nakrang> and Vietnamese < My Chau Chong Thuy> has a similar narrative structure based on historical backgrounds; a confrontation between two countries, invasion and tragedy (children betray their parents and countries, father kills his children and love meets a tragic ending). There are similar expressions of mystique in Korean <Hodong & Nakrang> with Jamyunggogak which plays by itself when enemy invades the country, and Vietnamese < My Chau Chong Thuy> with the Arrow of God which shoots several arrows with a single shot. On the other hand, there is a difference that Korean <Hodong & Nakrang> is a folk tale to describe legitimacy of territorial expansion by Goguryeo, and Vietnamese < My Chau Chong Thuy> is a story to describe guard of invasion by other nations. Both stories give love between man and woman superiority over loyalty and filial duty, and every main character meets tragic ending at the end. Korea is talking about territorial expansion of Goguryeo with the love between man and woman, and Vietnam is talking about guard of invasion with same one in a story.
