AN inch-worm was measuring off the length of a grapevine, drawing her delicate green body into an arch, then straightening it out to mark another inch, and in this way soon reached the trellis overhead, when she paused to look about and find where she might go next. She espied a caterpillar--a short, thick, reddish-brown fellow--gliding toward her with a thousand hairs quivering in the morning breeze.
