초등학교 저학년 인성교육을 위한 동요 지도방안 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라는 전통적으로 인성이 강조되어왔다. 인성이 강조되는 사회에서 어린이들은 자신보다 남을 먼저 생각할 줄 알고, 타인에게 예의를 갖출 줄 아는 사람으로 자라게 되었다. 하지만 현대 사회에서 자라나는 어린이와 청소년들의 인성 상태가 심각한 수준을 넘어서고 있다. 특히 학교폭력과 관련된 법은 더욱 강화되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 다방면으로 급속한 발달을 이루는 시기인 초등학교 저학년에게 인성교육은 필수적으로 이루어져야 한다.
본 연구에서는 인성교육의 한 방법으로 올바른 사고와 가치관을 길러줄 수 있는 동요를 선택하여 교수-학습 과정안을 계획하고 수업에 적용하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 동요 지도를 통해 초등학교 저학년에게 바른 인성을 길러주는 것에 목적을 두었다.
동요는 2000년도부터 2010년까지 MBC 창작동요제의 입상곡 중 가족, 친구, 본인이라는 항목에 따라서 선택하였고, 선택된 곡에서 발견할 수 있는 인성요소를 추출하여 그에 맞게 교수-학습 과정안을 작성하였다. 동요 지도는 서울시에 위치한 OO초등학교의 돌봄교실에서 10주간 진행되었으며. 10주간의 과정 전후로 설문조사를 실시하여 동요 지도가 인성교육에 어떠한 효과를 보였는지 알아보았다.
설문조사는 사전조사와 사후조사로 나누어 실시하였다. 설문지의 내용은 가족, 친구, 본인이라는 각 항목에 따라서 나누어진 인성요소에 맞춘 질문으로 이루어져 있으며, 학생들이 6개의 답변 중 하나를 고르도록 하였다. 학생들의 답변은 SPSS 25 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 사전과 사후의 비교를 위하여 Wilcoxon 부호 순위 검정을 사용하였다. 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 한계점과 개선점을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 실행한 동요 지도가 초등학교 저학년 학생들을 위한 인성교육에 도움이 되길 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Character has been emphasized traditionally in Korea. In a society where character is stressed, children have been cultivated as the persons who are able to think others first before themselves and be courteous to other people. However, the personality of children and teenagers growing up in modern society is exceeding a serious level. In particular, laws related to school violence are becoming stricter. Therefore, character education should be mandatory for the lower grades students in elementary school, who are in a period of rapid development in many ways.
In this study, children’s song is chosen as a way of character education that can foster upright thinking and values and the teaching-learning course plan is prepared and applied to the class. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to foster the upright character in the lower grades of elementary school through the children’s song teaching.
The songs were selected from the prize-winning songs of the MBC Creative Children Song in Korea from 2000 to 2010 according to the categories of family, friend and oneself, from which the personality factors that can be found were extracted, and the teaching-learning course plan was developed accordingly. The children’s song teaching was implemented for 10 weeks in the Care Class of OO Elementary School located in Seoul. Before and after the 10-week course, surveys were conducted to find out how the children’s song teaching had an effect on character education.
The surveys were implemented by being divided into ex-ante survey and ex-post survey. The contents of the surveys consist of questions tailored to personality factors which were divided according to each category of family, friend and oneself, and students were asked to choose one of the six answers. The students' answers were analyzed using the SPSS 25 program, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used for comparison between the ex-ante survey and ex-post survey. Based on the results of the analysis, the limitation and improvement of this study are presented. The author hopes that the children’s song teaching implemented through this study will help in character education for low-grade elementary school students.
