The Role of Cerebellum in the Eye-hand Coordination Task with Different Spatial Offsets

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 소뇌가 운동 명령에 의한 감각과 운동 결과를 예측하는 기능을 수행 한다고 하는 전향모델 (forward model)에서 제시하는 가설을 입증하기 위해서 수행 되었다. 협응 운동 시에 공간적으로 정확한 예측적 정보를 제공하는 것이 소뇌의 역할 중 하나임을 나타내기 위하여 7명의 소뇌 질환자들과 8명의 건강한 피험자들에게 각각의 목표점을 따라 안구와 손을 움직이는 과제가 주어졌다. 이때 목표점들의 움직임이 각각 다른 공간적 오차를 적용 하여 그에 따른 운동 수행 오차를 측정 하였다. 일반적으로 비 환자들의 수행 오차가 소뇌 환자들에 비하여 유의하게 적었으며 이는 소뇌가 운동제어에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 새삼 증명하는 결과이다. 중요한 것은 비 환자들의 경우 목표점들의 공간 오차가 증가함에 따라 수행오차가 점차적으로 증가한 반면 소뇌 환자들은 이러한 공간 오차에 따른 수행오차의 차이가 발견되지 않았다는 점이다. 이 결과는 협응 운동 시에 공간 좌표(spatial coordinates) 에 의해 명시되는 운동 명령에 대한 감각적 예측을 소뇌의 전향모델이 제어함을 보여 준다.
