It might be true that Chinese Korean language learners are subject to make various L2 errors caused by interference from their native language knowledge, Chinese. The primary purpose of this study was to identify L2 errors in L2 writing, allegedly caused by L1 interference, and to suggest a pedagogical approach to reducing this kind of L2 errors. For the primary purpose, this study analyzed writing samples (n=162) from Chinese Korean language learners (n=115), attending various errors shown in the samples. According to the analysis, it is suggested that to reduce L2 errors syntactically, authentic Korean reading materials or audio/visual resources could be presented as teaching materials to the learners. Also the teacher could direct L2 learners to practice making sentences by having them arrange given words into the proper positions. The teacher could also guide them to make basic sentences first, and then could extend their L2 knowledge to understand the use of adding modifiers and/or other details. More effective teaching methods to reduce L2 errors are suggested at the end of this study.
