These days, in the theatrical world, the process of a play and the perceptions of the audience are considered important, as well as the collaboration of various genres, dismantlement of boundaries and performances beyond the boundaries of living and art have been attempted. Site-specific performances are a trend. For this, the audience participates in a play and the space and shares in its process, through which aesthetic experiences accumulated through the process have become a form of art. This study analysed how place is understood and revealed focusing on < Gwangchon Simin Apartment Houses A, B, and C > and < ONE DAY, MAYBE and Someday > as Site-specific plays performed in our community and classified the characteristics shown in their performance acts into two; With respect to placeness, centering on the differences in the performance places for the two plays, this study determined that performances at historical events have a meaning of excavation, and the process and experiences of the audiences are the rediscovery of placeness. This study defined placeness of a specific area as follows: that we remember spatial meaning through cultural acts in a specific space and seek a value is a reorganization of placeness. Site-specific performances are characterized by bricolage of a space in that certain places and spaces are selected and arranged through creative thinking and the collective consciousness of the audience together with the play and actors complete the place through perceptual experiences. So the audience is cooperative performers. This study has meaning in that it enhanced understanding of place-specific placeness of a performance through reorganizing creative acts of using space, and the characteristics of the position of the audience.
