In previous studies, as the textual source for Dashinjeon, Kim Myeong-bae recommended using Jeungbomanbojeonseo, the Buddhist Monk Yongun Gyeongdangjeungjeongmanbojeonseo, and Park Dong-choon of the transcription of Manbojeonseo which was supplemented, modified, and complemented while it was being made.
In this study, it was carefully checked both Jeungbomanbojeonseo and Gyeongdangjeungjeongmanbojeonseo, which were thought of as textual sources for Dashinjeon in previous studies, against the original Dayegwanbon Dashinjeon and determined which of these two printings is the textual source for Dashinjeon. The comparison of Jeungbomanbojeonseo and Gyeongdangjeungjeongmanbojeonseo showed that Dayegwanbon Dashinjeon contained less misspelled and omitted letters than Jeungbomanbojeonseo. Also, after checking it against the original, it was determined that Dashinjeon was not supplemented, modified or complemented while writing it out, but was a fair transcript of the original Jeungbomanbojeonseo. Therefore, this paper determined Jeungbomanbojeonseo to be the textual source for Dashinjeon.
