A feature of the Purcell Commemoration Week, which made less noise in the world than many of the other undertakings, but which was certainly second to none of them in interest and importance, was the exhibition of manuscripts and other relics of the musician, which the authorities of the British Museum collected and placed on view. There was a fine show of autographs, nearly everything known and accessible having been got together.
