The Monsanto crease recovery of a variety of fabrics (cotton, wool, nylon, PET) was measured under the temperature between ?50℃ and ?10℃, various relative humidities of preconditioning and craese recovery times.
The following results were obtained:
1. At low temperatures, the Monsanto test results increased with increasing temperature.
2. The Monsanto test results decreased with increasing relative humidity of preconditioning, but that of wool fabric extremely decreased above 70% relative humidity.
3. The Monsanto test result of nylon fabrics was largely effected by low temperatures, but the results of PET fabrics was not generally changed by low temperatures and relative humidities of preconditioning.
4. The Monsanto test result increased with increasing crease recovery time.
